Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and implement effective corrective actions.
• Conduct machine inspections and identify opportunities for equipment improvement.
• Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new machines and equipment.
• Ensure production equipment operates efficiently with minimal downtime.
• Manage maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory.
• Lead machine improvement and reliability projects.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Support GMP compliance, validation activities, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and company requirements.

Job requirement

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 5 – 10 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, food manufacturing, FMCG, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with production machinery, packaging equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, compressors, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in machine troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.

Technical Competencies

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing and packaging machines.
• Knowledge of HVAC, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, and plant utilities is an advantage.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and root cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Basic knowledge of GMP requirements is preferred.

Language Requirements

• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
• Able to communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Able to prepare maintenance reports and technical documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
