Role Overview

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational efficiency objectives are achieved.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with proven experience in implementing production controls, reducing manufacturing wastage, improving productivity, and developing manufacturing SOPs will have a distinct advantage

Qualifications & Experience

·       Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline

·       Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

·       At least 2 years of supervisory experience in production operations

·       Experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or wood-based industries will be an added advantage

·       Knowledge of production planning, inventory control, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing concepts is preferred

·       Strong leadership and people management skills

·       Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows

·       Ability to monitor, analyse, and achieve production KPIs

·       Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

·       Good communication and interpersonal skills

·       Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines

·       Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and production reporting systems

Additional Requirements

·       Possess a valid driving license and own transport

Key Responsibilities

·       Supervise daily production operations to ensure production targets and delivery schedules are met

·       Monitor production output, machine utilization, and workforce productivity

·       Coordinate manpower allocation and workflow planning to optimize efficiency

·       Ensure compliance with production procedures, work instructions, and SOPs

·       Monitor product quality and collaborate closely with the Quality Control team to address quality issues and implement corrective actions

·       Coordinate with Warehouse, Planning, Maintenance, and Purchasing departments to ensure smooth operational flow

·       Ensure adequate availability of materials, components, tools, and equipment to support production requirements

·       Monitor production downtime and take corrective actions to minimize disruptions

·       Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency while reducing wastage

·       Investigate production issues and establish preventive measures to avoid recurrence

·       Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports

·       Train, coach, and evaluate production operators and team leaders to enhance performance and capability

·       Promote and maintain workplace safety, health, environmental compliance, and good housekeeping practices including 5S

·       Support management initiatives aimed at improving operational effectiveness and achieving business objectives
