Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution.

Valid license or certification to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Malaysia.

Strong understanding of child development and language acquisition processes.

Proficiency in evaluating and managing swallowing disorders (dysphagia) in pediatric populations.

Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and other healthcare professionals.

Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.

Familiarity with various speech and language therapy techniques and evidence-based practices.

Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on the latest advancements in the field.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of children presenting with a range of communication, swallowing, and feeding disorders, utilizing standardized tests, clinical observations, and parent/caregiver interviews.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each child, addressing areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension and expression, fluency, voice, and oral motor skills.

Provide direct speech-language therapy services to children, employing evidence-based techniques and therapeutic strategies to facilitate functional communication and safe swallowing.

Educate and train parents, caregivers, and other relevant professionals on strategies to support the child's communication and feeding goals in home and community environments.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and medical professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to child development and care.

Select, adapt, and train families on the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and strategies for children with severe communication impairments.

Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and communicating outcomes to families and the healthcare team.

Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in pediatric speech-language pathology and swallowing disorders through continuing education and professional development.
