Education: Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA) or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of finance experience. Audit background is an added advantage.

Tanggungjawab

  • Financial Reporting & Due Diligence for M&A Lead financial due diligence on potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments, covering earnings quality, net assets, working capital, debt‑like items, tax exposures, and off‑balance sheet arrangements.

  • Identify and quantify critical deal issues such as revenue sustainability, cost normalisations, related party transactions, and contingent liabilities.

  • Prepare clear, concise due diligence reports for the CFO, Board Investment Committee, and external advisors, highlighting key findings and recommended deal adjustments (price, escrow, indemnities).

  • Coordinate with external legal, tax, and commercial due diligence providers. 2.

  • Use of AI & Automation in Due Diligence Apply AI‑powered tools to accelerate due diligence – e.g., using document intelligence (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or specialised contract review software) to extract key financial terms from target company documents, invoices, or contracts. Use basic data analytics (e.g., in Excel with Power Query or Python scripts) to detect anomalies in large volumes of transactional data (e.g., duplicate payments, unusual journal entries).

  • Automate routine financial data collection from target ERP systems using RPA or low‑code tools (e.g., Power Automate) to reduce manual data entry. Build simple predictive or scenario models with AI assistance (e.g., cash flow forecasting under different integration scenarios) but without requiring deep machine learning expertise.

  • Financial Modelling & Valuation Support Build and review financial models for M&A, including three‑statement models, DCF, accretion/dilution, and ROI analysis, using Excel and potentially AI‑assisted modelling plugins.

  • Support the CFO in transaction structuring and funding assessment.

  • Integration & Post‑Acquisition Finance Work with the finance team to integrate acquired entities’ financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls. Use automation tools to speed up consolidation and harmonisation of accounting policies. Assist in purchase price allocation (PPA) under MFRS 3.

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance (PLC Environment) Support the Group’s monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in compliance with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.

  • Ensure accurate disclosures for material acquisitions.

  • Internal Controls & Audit Liaison Leverage audit background to assess target’s internal controls and recommend post‑acquisition improvements.

  • Serve as key liaison with external auditors on acquisition‑related accounting.
