Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Project Engineer to lead and execute a critical migration project. This role is central to a major initiative that involves migrating an on-premises Active Directory environment and workloads to Microsoft 365 and the cloud.The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in core Microsoft technologies, a proven track record in large-scale infrastructure projects, and the ability to work independently to solve complex problems. You will be responsible for the end-to-end migration, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while modernizing the IT infrastructure.Key Responsibilities1. Active Directory & Identity ManagementLead and manage the end-to-end migration of Active Directory objects, including users, groups, and computer objects, to Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.Expertly manage and configure AD services including trusts, replication, sites, and services .Utilize Quest Migration Manager (QMM) and its agents to plan, orchestrate, and execute a seamless migration with minimal business impact .Migrate critical AD components such as Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS zones and records, and cluster objects.Write and deploy advanced PowerShell scripts to automate bulk AD tasks, identity management, and post-migration cleanup.Possess a strong foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, subnetting, and gateway configurations.2. Windows Server & VirtualizationInstall, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (versions 2012 to 2019 and above) .Manage and maintain enterprise server infrastructure in a datacenter environment with 100+ physical or virtual servers.Work with enterprise virtualization platforms, primarily VMware vSphere/ESX or Nutanix AHV, to manage and migrate virtual machines .Proactively identify and resolve complex technical issues and be willing to learn and implement new technologies as the project evolves.Take initiative and lead technical efforts to drive project milestones to completion.3. Exchange & MessagingProvide Level 3 support for Exchange Server and Outlook-related issues.Assist with the planning and execution of Exchange mailbox migrations to Exchange Online (part of the M365 migration) .Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and automate build and decommissioning processes to improve efficiency and consistency.4. Project & Operational SupportDevelop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all migration and operational tasks.Be prepared to work outside of standard business hours, including nights and weekends, as required to perform critical migration tasks and provide on-call support (OT).
