Job Description

Requirements

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering or equivalent.

  • Able to speak in English and Mandarin
    Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Certifications:

  • Valid safety certifications (e.g., BCSS, Bizsafe).

  • Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification is an advantage.

  • Licensed Plumber (LP) certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer (Electrical) at APP Engineering Pte Ltd, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical systems for building construction projects across Singapore. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to safety, compliance, and engineering excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution and Site Planning

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee on-site installation of electrical distribution systems, including ELV and security systems.

  • Assist in preparing material BOQs, selecting equipment, and recommending installation methods.

  • Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.

2. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Attend coordination and progress meetings to resolve technical and scheduling issues.

  • Supervise site activities including sub-contracted works and workforce deployment.

  • Monitor site progress, resource allocation, and material usage to prevent wastage.

3. Regulatory & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations (e.g. EMA, SCDF).

  • Conduct site safety inspections and implement corrective actions when risks are identified.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting

  • Liaise with consultants and RE/RTOs for inspections, testing, and commissioning.

  • Lead the testing and commissioning of systems to verify safety and functionality.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation or commissioning.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and manage project documentation including drawings, material records, inspection reports, and progress updates.

  • Ensure proper documentation for authority submissions and project handover.
