Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Quantity Surveyor (Site QS) to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs on-site, preparing progress claims, verifying subcontractor work, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring all quantity surveying activities are carried out accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and submit progress claims and payment certificates.
- Measure and value work completed on-site.
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor claims and payment recommendations.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow.
- Assist in cost estimation, quantity take-off, and variation order (VO) preparation.
- Prepare final accounts and project cost reports.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
- Ensure proper documentation of contracts, claims, and project records.
- Monitor material usage and minimize project cost overruns.
- Attend site meetings and provide commercial support to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Site Quantity Surveyor.
- Experience in building, infrastructure, M&E, or construction projects.
- Good knowledge of contracts, measurements, and construction costing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and AutoCAD; knowledge of QS software is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Willing to travel or be based at project sites.
