Requirements
Possess a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Demonstrate 1-2 years of proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably within a manufacturing or technology-focused environment.
Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks) for daily transaction recording, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Solid understanding of Malaysian tax compliance regulations and procedures, including SST and income tax filings.
Experience in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collection of payments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, 20-person company environment.
Familiarity with general ledger management and month-end closing procedures.
Responsibilities
· Financial & Cost Accounting: Maintain accurate full-set financial records and ledgers; manage regular month-end and year-end closing procedures; track and analyse manufacturing production costs and product margins.
· Inventory Control & Operations: Verify incoming raw materials against delivery documentation and purchase orders; assist with outgoing logistics documentation and regular customer invoicing. Coordinate routine physical stock takes to ensure system records mirror workshop floor balances.
· Treasury & Day-to-Day Administration: Manage standard Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable workflows, tracking vendor statements and monitoring customer collections. Prepare routine management reports and cash flow forecasts to assist with operational planning.
· Taxation & General Compliance: Prepare and file monthly or quarterly SST returns in line with local requirements; maintain the company’s Fixed Asset Register to track machinery depreciation and relevant capital allowances.
· Future LMW & Customs Support (Upon License Activation): Once the facility's Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) application is completed and approved, your scope will expand to include the routine management of customs documentation, which involves:
· Maintaining the required LMW inventory tracking books in alignment with standard customs guidelines.
· Compiling and submitting the monthly M1, M2, and M4 declarations based on the factory's production and shipping data.
· Assisting with the documentation for scrap disposal applications and balancing duty-exempted stock logs.
