JOB PURPOSE:
Act as a Physiotherapist within a multidisciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible to perform clinical and administrative duties in the assigned clinical area.
Responsibilities :
- Policies and Procedures
- Ensure established unit policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programmes, and service standards are adhered to.
- Interpret unit policies and procedures to new staff.
- Clinical
- Assess patients with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, disabilities or other health related conditions using detailed history taking, as well as specific tests and measures for screening, establishing a diagnosis and monitoring change.
- Plan intervention strategies that incorporates the application for selected approaches and techniques supported by the best evidence available to produce

- Plan intervention strategies that incorporates the application for selected approaches and techniques supported by the best evidence available to produce changes in the patient’s functional status and then communicating the plan to the patient and interdisciplinary team.
- Implement selected interventions safely to relieve pain; achieve and maintain health and fitness, functional independence and physical performance, and manage the identified impairments, disabilities and limits to participation.
- Evaluate health status as a baseline for monitoring or to determine the result, impact or effectiveness of physiotherapy intervention.
- Screen for chronic and secondary conditions to promote prevention and early intervention.
- Practice diligent and accurate clinical documentation in Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Be competent in the use of a wide range of rehab equipment and modalities.
- Delegate allocated tasks to Rehab Assistants and supervise where appropriate, to maximise efficiency and to achieve desired quality of care.
- To undertake clinical audit or other projects to promote evidence-based practice, develop the service and maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
Training and Education
- Participate in department clinical in-service training.
- Participate in general orientation of new staff of Rehab Centre.
- To develop and deliver training programmes for a wide range of professionals and carers to educate carers and significant others in the understanding of both the therapy process and any intervention relating to the management of patients medical and social needs.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
