Full Time Interior Designer Jobs, Salary up to MYR 4,500 in Designlab ID WP Kuala Lumpur - Maukerja

This position is open to both Junior and Senior Interior Designers. The designer will assist or lead in project delivery, including concept development, mood board creation, space planning, technical drawings, material sourcing, 3D visuals, and site coordination. The role requires strong design sense, technical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Required skills and qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.

• Experience: Open to both junior (0–2 years) and senior (3+ years) designers.

• Technical Skills: AutoCAD (2D drafting), SketchUp/Revit/3D software, Adobe Photoshop, Basic Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and confidence in dealing with suppliers & contractors.

• Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in drawings, measurements, QC checks, and documentation.

+ Key responsibilities

Design & Technical Work

• Produce 2D drawings using AutoCAD, including furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.

• Prepare design mood boards for client presentations.

• Create 3D visualizations for design proposals and approvals.

• Assist or lead in developing design concepts, presentations, and documentation.

Material Sourcing

• Research, evaluate, and select suitable finishes, fixtures, and materials according to design intent and budget.

Site Work

• Conduct site visits for accurate site measurements.

• Perform site inspections for QC, ensuring workmanship, materials, and condition match design drawings and standards.

• Report site progress and findings back to the office clearly and promptly.

Communication & Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure materials, timelines, and work quality meet expectations.

• Work closely with seniors, colleagues, clients, and external consultants to ensure smooth project execution.

Work Discipline & Independence

• Able to work independently, stay disciplined, and complete tasks with minimal monitoring.

• Maintain strong attention to detail and good time management throughout the project.
