Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing/merchandising experience, preferably in garment, textile or fashion industry.
Experience dealing with China suppliers, overseas sourcing, PO process, costing and shipment coordination.
Experience in supplier negotiation, vendor management and product development follow-up.
Mandarin proficiency is mandatory to liaise with China suppliers.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Google Workspace.
Good planning, coordination, time management and attention to detail.
Able to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
Source and manage suppliers for fabrics, trims, packaging and garment production.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, lead time and production schedules.
Prepare and manage Purchase Orders and supplier documentation.
Monitor production progress, sample development and shipment timelines.
Coordinate with QA/QC, Merchandising, Design, Warehouse, Sales and Logistics teams.
Monitor purchasing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain supplier records, PO tracking and purchasing reports.
Support product development and improve purchasing processes.
