Requirements
- Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, supplier management and inventory control.
- Proven experience in cost reduction, strategic sourcing and supplier development.
- Good negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a purchasing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Purchasing Department to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and business objectives.
- Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for the best price, quality and delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
- Prepare purchasing reports, monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse and Finance to meet operational requirements.
