Serve as the person in charge for the Sabah Marketing team, ensuring brand compliance and supporting sales growth in East Malaysia.
Key responsibilities:
Explore new opportunities and drive East Malaysia core sales growth across vouchers, catering, events, and joint ventures, while achieving budgeted targets:
- Generate new sales leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals to build a healthy sales pipeline.
- Attend trade exhibitions, conferences, and community events to establish brand presence and secure corporate accounts.
- Develop and implement promotional strategies for gift vouchers.
- Identify and negotiate joint venture opportunities with potential business partners.
- Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of voucher and catering requirements.
- Track and report performance against monthly and annual targets to ensure sales objectives are met.
Promote and increase EM sales of birthday parties and other events:
- Conduct ongoing research to identify emerging trends and new customer segments.
- Establish and maintain partnership with stakeholders (e.g., mall management) to co-organize events and activities.
Ensure all CSR events in EM are handled according to brand standards:
- Work closely with HQ Group Corporate Communication team to understand brand standards and ensure standards are uphold at all times.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with major non-profit organizations in Sabah to stay informed on ongoing CSR activities and identify opportunities for brand participation.
- Plan and execute seasonal CSR events in Sabah to enhance brand awareness and strengthen community engagement.
Support Sabah Operations team in achieving sales through various Marketing Campaigns:
- Plan local marketing campaigns to meet various sales objectives of Sabah stores.
- Prepare, distribute, and monitor marketing materials across store locations.
- Conduct regular visits to stores to ensure proper implementation of marketing activities.
- Perform market research and benchmarking to stay current with industry developments.
Job requirements:
- Minimum degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of proven experience in sales and marketing.
- Prior leadership experience & knowledge of the F&B industry is an added advantage.
- Strong verbal and written skills to foster win win partnerships.
- Ability to take ownership of the sales process and guide a team toward achieving goals.
- Skilled at building rapport and working effectively with diverse personalities.
- Proficient in email communication, video conferencing, and sales tracking tools.
- Thrives in dynamic environments and remains effective when plans change.
- Experienced in setting sales strategies and ensuring successful execution.
- Possess a valid driving license and own vehicle.
- Flexible to work during odd hours, including weekends & public holidays when needed.
- Able to travel independently to major cities across Sabah & Sarawak.
- Successful applicant will be based in Sabah main office at Kota Kinabalu.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
