Job Summary

MNL is seeking a skilled IT Developer to join our growing EV Charging Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and web backend systems that support the efficient operation, monitoring, and management of EV charging infrastructure.

This role plays a key part in enhancing operational productivity, system reliability, and user experience through custom software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Backend Systems

• Design, develop, and maintain web-based backend applications for EV charger operations, monitoring, and management.

• Build and optimize APIs, databases, and backend services to support real-time charger status, usage analytics, and remote management.

• Develop tools and automation scripts to improve operational productivity and streamline workflows.

• Integrate EV charging systems with internal platforms and third-party services.

EV Charging System Support

• Work with EV charging hardware and software platforms, with a strong focus on implementing and optimizing OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) integration.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues affecting charger performance and availability.

• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time monitoring of charger uptime, energy consumption, and performance metrics.

Technical Development

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern programming languages and frameworks.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle — from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

• Ensure high standards of code quality, security, scalability, and documentation.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with the Operations, Business Development, and Maintenance teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance system capabilities.

• Stay updated with the latest trends in EV charging technology, IoT, and backend development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Node.js, Java, or PHP preferred).

• Solid experience in web backend development (RESTful APIs, databases, server-side logic).

• Bonus:Hands-on experience withOCPP 1.6 or 2.0.1 protocol for EV charging systems.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and version control (Git).

• Experience in IoT, real-time systems, or energy sector applications is a strong advantage.
