Animal Handling: Must be comfortable working with cat, ie: restraining, lifting, and comforting animals during examinations and treatments.

Medical Awareness: Basic understanding of animal health, medical terminology, and isolation protocols.

Clinical Assistance: Ability to assist in preparing animals for surgery, sterilizing instruments, and monitoring patients post-operation.

Lab Work: Willingness and ability to assist with setting up laboratory tests (like blood slides or urinalysis) and packaging samples.

Communication & Admin: Excellent communication skills are required for dealing with pet owners, explaining post-operative instructions, and managing front-office receptionist or administrative duties.

Strong Stomach: Must be completely comfortable dealing with blood, urine, feces, and other bodily fluids.

Teamwork: Must be able to work effectively with teammates in fast pace working environment.

Animal Restraint: Safely and effectively hold or calm animals during examinations, vaccinations, and minor procedures.

Procedure Preparation: Shave and prep surgical areas and set up the necessary instruments and equipment for the vet.

Medication Administration: Give medications or immunizations under the direct supervision and direction of a licensed veterinarian.

Post-Operative Care: Monitor animals as they recover from anesthesia and provide general nursing care.

Daily Husbandry: Feed, water, exercise, and bathe animals staying at the clinic.

Patient Observation: Monitor patient behavior, weight, and overall well-being, alerting the vet or supervisor to any changes or concerns.

Patient Records: Maintain accurate medical logs, update files, and handle billing or invoicing.

Client Education: Explain post-visit care instructions, answer questions about medications, and discuss basic pet nutrition.

Front Desk Support: Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and greet clients warmly when needed.

Sanitation: Clean and disinfect examination rooms, operating rooms, and cages to prevent the spread of infection.

Sterilization: Autoclave and sterilize surgical instruments, syringes, and needles.
