Requirements
Experience:2 to 5 years of successful B2B field sales experience, ideally withinmedical supplies, capital equipment, office furniture, or healthcare facility solutions.
Technical Understanding: Ability to master and explain mechanical features, weight capacities, electrical configurations (for motorized ICU beds), and regulatory fire/safety standards.
Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building trust with both administrative buyers (purchasing officers) and end-users (nurses and clinic staff).
Organization: Strong pipeline management skills, with the ability to manage multiple short-cycle clinic deals alongside longer-cycle hospital ward upgrades simultaneously.
Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned local territory to visit clinical sites and deliver demo equipment
Must be Malaysian citizen
Able to converse in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and structurally minded Medical Furniture Sales Specialist to drive revenue growth across our premium medical furniture portfolio. This portfolio includes ICU/ward beds, surgical carts, examination chairs, patient transport stretchers, and specialized clinical seating. In this mid-level role, you will be directly responsible for building relationships, conducting physical product trials, and closing deals with private clinics, local hospital purchasing departments, nursing directors, and facility managers. The ideal candidate combines a consultative sales approach with a strong understanding of healthcare facility ergonomics and infection control standards.
Core Responsibilities
Territory & Account Management: Map, prospect, and systematically penetrate assigned local territories to establish direct sales pipelines with private medical clinics, community hospitals, and nursing homes. [1]
Consultative Product Demonstrations: Conduct on-site technical product demonstrations for nursing staff, facility managers, and clinical leads, highlighting mechanical durability, ergonomic design, and infection control compliance (e.g., antimicrobial coatings).
Quotation & Proposal Management: Generate highly detailed pricing quotes, customized product configuration proposals, and commercial volume discount bundles based on a clinic or hospital ward's specific layout and capacity.
Procurement Navigation: Partner closely with local healthcare purchasing officers and materials management teams to guide equipment orders smoothly through their internal procurement and purchase order (PO) approval workflows.
Delivery & Installation Coordination: Oversee the post-sale handoff, collaborating with logistics and technical installation teams to ensure medical furniture is delivered, assembled, and safety-tested on time. [1, 2]
Product Training & Support: Conduct post-installation operational inservices for nursing and maintenance teams to ensure the proper use, cleaning, and basic care of all delivered equipment.
