Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety walkabouts to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved safety procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and project HSE requirements.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the Project Safety and Health Management Plan (SHMP).
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety awareness sessions for workers, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Ensure all workers and visitors complete safety induction before entering the project site.
- Monitor construction and installation activities including civil works, electrical installation, battery container installation, equipment handling, cable installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), electrical safety procedures, and other control measures for high-risk activities.
- Monitor activities involving working at height, lifting operations, hot works, excavation, confined space, heavy machinery operations, and electrical works.
- Ensure proper usage and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among all personnel at site.
- Stop unsafe work practices and report safety violations or potential risks to the SHO and Project Management team.
- Assist in accident, incident, near miss investigation, and preparation of relevant safety reports.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and properly closed.
- Monitor site housekeeping, emergency equipment, fire protection systems, first aid facilities, and emergency response arrangements.
- Maintain safety records including inspection reports, toolbox attendance, safety observations, and other HSE documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure compliance with project safety requirements and statutory regulations.
- Support safety audits, client inspections, and authority inspections when required.
- Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by the SHO or superior.
Qualifications:
- Valid Yellow Book holder registered with the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH)
- Minimum one (1) year experience in TNB project.
- Niosh Tenaga Safety Passport (NTSP) Holder.
- Familiar with standard concepts and best practices for construction/substation/environment for both safety and administration
- Good writing and verbal communication skills both in Bahasa and English
- Skills to operate common site equipment
- Valid driving license
- Work irregular hours to accomplish urgent tasks and/or pending assignments, when requested
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
