Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to promote, monitor, enforce, and ensure the continual implementation of safety and health practices in compliance with legal requirements, the OSH Management System, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce comprehensive safety and health policies, procedures, regulations, and instructions in accordance with project and legal requirements.
• Maintain safe working conditions throughout the project by continuously monitoring and addressing potential hazards.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, training, and safety awareness programs to ensure workers understand and comply with safety requirements.
• Supervise and guide workers to proactively reduce safety and health risks during site activities.
• Conduct and lead accident and incident investigations, prepare reports, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform daily workplace safety inspections, identify unsafe acts and conditions, and coordinate immediate corrective actions.
• Conduct hazard assessments for controlled activities and establish appropriate preventive and control measures.
• Compile, analyze, and report safety performance data and statistics to management.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations and company requirements.
• Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions arising from safety non-compliance.
• Review and regulate the issuance of Permits to Work and task statements, ensuring pre-task briefings are properly conducted and documented.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage all personnel to take responsibility for workplace safety.
• Issue safety observations, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), or Stop Work Orders where necessary based on risk assessments.
• Authorize temporary cessation of work where significant safety risks are identified and ensure unsafe conditions are rectified before work resumes.
• Maintain and update safety procedures and systems in accordance with changes in legal requirements and site conditions.
• Identify emerging safety risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
• Organize and conduct emergency preparedness drills and ensure workers understand emergency procedures.
• Maintain first aid facilities and ensure qualified first aid personnel are available and adequately trained.
• Work closely with site and project management to integrate safety requirements into daily operations.
• Ensure the availability, proper use, inspection, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Encourage workers to report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents openly and without fear of reprisal.
• Support health and wellness initiatives, including ergonomic improvements and workplace well-being programs.
• Keep up to date with applicable local, national, and international safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Perform any other safety-related duties as assigned by the management.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
