About the Role

The Equipment Support Technician plays a hands-on role in assembling, testing, maintaining and diagnosing issues across a variety of technical systems and components.

Core responsibilities include:

• Reading and applying work orders, technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to complete assembly tasks correctly

• Running tests on electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and vacuum systems with the appropriate testing tools and fixtures

• Building and fixing equipment at the unit, subassembly and component level

• Diagnosing equipment faults and carrying out repairs to keep systems running

• Verifying that incoming parts and materials are complete and meet quality requirements

• Working hands-on with instruments such as measurement devices, vacuum pumps, leak detectors and test rigs

• Logging work activity accurately, covering job status, test outcomes, data entry and labour hours

• Helping out with light programming tasks like software installs and equipment fixes when needed

• Operating with a good degree of independence, while mentoring junior colleagues as needed

What You'll Need

• A NITEC or Diploma

• No prior experience necessary, open to entry-level applicants

• Comfortable doing physical, technical work in a cleanroom setting

• Able to handle the physical side of the job, standing for long periods, lifting, and working in tight or enclosed spaces

• Willing to work with PPE and a variety of tools and measurement equipment
