Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Structural Engineer role based in Petaling Jaya. The Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis and design, prepare engineering calculations, and develop detailed drawings and specifications in coordination with the design team. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting architectural and civil drawings, ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards, and coordinating with project stakeholders to resolve technical issues. The role involves using CAD and other engineering software, supporting site teams with technical queries, and assisting in preparing reports, method statements, and documentation. The Structural Engineer will collaborate closely with other engineers, drafters, and consultants to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural solutions for a range of projects.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Structural Analysis and Calculations to design and verify structural elements in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing and reviewing structural drawings and details.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution; professional registration or progress toward it is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant local and international design codes, construction practices, and materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and site personnel.
• Previous experience in consultancy or construction environments and familiarity with site work are beneficial.
