About the Role

Genie Wash is looking for a hands-on Business Development & Growth Executive to help us explore and execute new growth opportunities.

You will work closely with the founder to turn business ideas into real-world tests.

This is a highly execution-focused role. Rather than spending most of your time preparing reports and presentations, you will be expected to get into the market, speak with potential customers and partners, conduct outreach, generate leads, test different approaches and bring back real market feedback.

The company will provide direction and work with you on planning each initiative. Your responsibility is to execute quickly, consistently and thoroughly.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys action, variety, meeting people and solving problems on the ground.

Responsibilities

• Execute business development and growth initiatives planned with management
• Conduct field sales and face-to-face prospecting
• Make cold calls and other forms of outbound outreach
• Visit potential customers and business partners
• Generate and qualify new leads
• Present and explain the company's services
• Follow up consistently with prospects
• Secure appointments, trials and new customers
• Support the testing of new sales approaches and growth opportunities
• Keep accurate records of outreach, leads, conversations and results
• Gather feedback and identify common customer objections
• Report results and observations to management
• Participate in regular reviews to improve or adjust ongoing initiatives
• Conduct basic market and prospect research when required
• Take on different business development projects as the company explores new opportunities

• Organised and able to accurately track activities and results
• Able to work independently
• Able to communicate clearly in English
• Comfortable working both in the field and from a desk when required
• Adaptable and willing to work on different types of business development initiatives
• Valid Class 3 or Class 2B is a plus

Previous experience in sales, business development, field sales, partnerships or other customer-facing roles is an advantage but not compulsory.

Candidates with less experience are welcome to apply if they can demonstrate strong initiative, communication skills, persistence and willingness to learn.

Compensation

Basic Salary: $3,200 – $3,800 per month

Additional compensation includes performance incentives and sales commissions based on the initiatives being executed.

There will be opportunities for increased responsibility and career progression as successful growth channels are developed.
