Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Lorry Driver (GDL) Cum Warehouse Assistant to handle product transfers to our retail outlets and support warehouse operations. Your main priority is transporting goods safely to our outlets and picking up items from suppliers. On days with no scheduled delivery runs, you will assist with general warehouse duties and inventory maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Driving & Logistics (Primary Duty)

• Transport, deliver, and collect goods safely and punctually to our designated outlets.
• Pick up raw materials, stock, or supplies directly from suppliers as scheduled.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (check tires, oil, fuel, brakes, and cleanliness).
• Load and unload cargo onto/from the lorry, ensuring goods are properly secured with ropes, straps, or nets.
• Collect and verify outlet sign-offs and supplier delivery notes, returning all completed paperwork to the supervisor.
• Maintain the lorry in good running condition and report any maintenance, repair, or breakdown issues immediately.
• Strictly comply with all road safety laws, transport regulations, and traffic rules.

2. Warehouse Operations (Secondary Duty – As Needed)

• On days with no scheduled deliveries or during idle driving hours, assist with daily warehouse operations.
• Help receive, sort, pack, label, and organize stock in the warehouse.
• Inspect incoming supplier shipments for damage, correct quantities, and proper documentation.
• Operate warehouse tools and equipment safely.
• Assist in regular stock takes and inventory counts to keep records accurate.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment (5S practices).
• Perform other ad-hoc general worker tasks assigned by management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• License: Valid Class D / E driving license and active Goods Driving License (GDL).
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of driving experience (3-ton / 1-ton lorry) and basic warehouse experience preferred.
• Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Traits: Clean driving record, punctual, trustworthy, and responsible.
• Skills: Basic knowledge of local routes and navigation apps (Google Maps / Waze).
• Languages: Able to read and speak basic Bahasa Malaysia and English (to read delivery documents and communicate with outlet staff and suppliers).
