Job Summary

Responsible for managing, maintaining, monitoring and reporting project data related to solar photovoltaic (PV) and electrical systems. The role supports project teams by ensuring that technical, construction, testing, commissioning and operational data are accurate, properly recorded, updated and readily available.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, verify, update and maintain solar electrical project data.
• Manage project databases, Excel trackers and electronic data-management systems.
• Maintain accurate records for solar PV and electrical equipment, including:
• PV modules
• Inverters
• DC and AC cables
• String combiner boxes
• Distribution boards
• Transformers
• Switchgear
• Protection and metering equipment
• Earthing and lightning protection systems
• Monitor and update electrical installation progress and project data.
• Maintain records of equipment quantities, serial numbers, ratings, locations and installation status.
• Track electrical testing, inspection and commissioning data.
• Compile data from site teams, electrical engineers, contractors and suppliers.
• Check data for accuracy, completeness, consistency and discrepancies.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly solar project data reports.
• Develop and maintain Excel dashboards, progress trackers and data summaries.
• Monitor project KPIs such as installation progress, equipment status, testing status and outstanding activities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Electrical Engineers, QA/QC teams, Site Supervisors, Procurement and subcontractors to obtain updated information.
• Maintain records of drawings, technical specifications, test reports and equipment documentation where required.
• Support preparation of as-built and project handover data.
• Identify missing, duplicate or inconsistent project information and follow up with the responsible team.
• Ensure project data is maintained according to company procedures and project requirements.
• Assist in preparing documentation and data required for project audits and client submissions.

Solar Electrical Knowledge

The candidate should have a basic to good understanding of:

• Solar PV system configuration
• DC and AC electrical systems
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• PV module and inverter data
• Electrical equipment schedules
• Cable schedules
• Equipment tagging and numbering
• Electrical testing and commissioning
• Solar PV installation progress
• Electrical drawings and technical documentation
• QA/QC inspection records

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Engineering Technology, Data Management or a related field.
• Experience in solar PV, electrical construction, EPC or renewable-energy projects is preferred.
• Experience handling project data, reporting or engineering information.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, data validation and reporting.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SharePoint, Power BI or project-management/document-control systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work with engineers, contractors and site teams.
• Willing to work at solar project sites when required.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
