We are looking for a passionate and quality-focused Assistant Manager, Packaging Quality Stream Lead to join our Quality Team based in Shah Alam, Selangor.

In this role, you will lead quality improvement initiatives across packaging operations, driving continuous improvement, process capability, and quality excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of non-conformances, ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, and support the achievement of operational and business goals through structured problem-solving and performance management.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive packaging quality improvement initiatives by identifying and eliminating process losses, quality deviations, and non-conformances.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to improve process capability, product quality, and operational performance.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report quality Key Performance Index (KPI), ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Establish and maintain optimal process parameters to maximize production efficiency while ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Champion continuous improvement programs and support site performance objectives through data-driven improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Packaging, Brewing, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance teams to drive sustainable improvements and accountability.
  • Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procduress, process standards, and process confirmations to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Drive food safety, hygiene, and quality compliance across packaging operations while promoting best practices throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate change management activities, including technological, material, and process-related improvements, while supporting capability building and training initiatives.
  • Ensure finished products consistently meet quality standards and specifications while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the food and beverage industry
  • Experience in quality improvement, continuous improvement, or process excellence initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and process control tools
  • Experience with statistical analysis and process capability methodologies
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), auditing techniques, and compliance standards
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality management practices
  • Knowledge of packaging and brewing processes will be an added advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written
