Job Responsibilities
Set up, operate and dismantle
live sound equipment
for performances and events.
Operate mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, monitors and other audio equipment.
Conduct sound checks before performances and ensure appropriate sound levels and audio quality.
Manage live sound mixing during performances, including vocals, instruments, backing tracks and monitors.
Monitor and troubleshoot sound, microphone, cable and equipment issues during live performances.
Perform basic maintenance and checks on audio equipment.
Coordinate with singers, musicians, performers and stage crew to ensure smooth performances.
Assist with equipment setup, teardown and storage after performances.
Ensure all sound equipment is handled properly and safely.
Maintain an organised and clean sound booth / technical area.
Perform other sound-related duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in live sound, audio engineering or a similar role.
Experience in a live house, music venue, nightclub, concert, event or entertainment environment is preferred.
Good knowledge of live sound mixing and audio equipment.
Familiar with: Mixing consoles, Microphones, Speakers / PA systems, Amplifiers, Stage monitors, DI boxes, Audio cables and connections.
Able to conduct sound checks and troubleshoot basic audio problems independently.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced live performance environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Responsible, punctual and detail oriented.
Willing to work night shifts, 6 days per week.
Able to work until 3:00 AM regularly.
Candidates with experience handling bands, singers, DJs or live performances will have an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Experience with digital mixing consoles such as Yamaha, Allen & Heath, Behringer, Soundcraft or similar.
Basic knowledge of DAWs / audio software is an advantage.
Knowledge of stage patching and signal flow.
Ability to troubleshoot feedback, noise, distortion and other live audio issues.
Experience working with multiple performers and live bands.
