Job Description

Responsibilities

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer / Senior Software Developer to join our team at Siroi Solutions in Kuala Lumpur.


Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Position: Senior Java Developer / Senior Software Developer

Experience: Minimum 4+ years

Eligibility: Local Malaysians only


This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong in Java backend development and is also comfortable taking ownership, supporting team members, reviewing code, contributing to technical design, and helping the team deliver quality software.


Key Technical Skills

  • 4+ years of professional Java development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 or above
  • Strong experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
  • REST API / RESTful Web Services development
  • Strong understanding of OOP, Design Patterns & Clean Code
  • Experience with JPA / Hibernate / JDBC
  • Good knowledge of SQL & relational databases
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle
  • Automated testing using JUnit / Mockito
  • Good understanding of JVM, Multithreading & Concurrency
  • Experience with Git, Code Reviews & Branching workflows


Added Advantage

Experience with any of the following would be a plus:

  • Microservices Architecture
  • Kafka / RabbitMQ
  • Docker / Kubernetes
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Monitoring & Observability tools


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend solutions
  • Perform code reviews and maintain engineering standards
  • Contribute to technical design and system architecture discussions
  • Identify technical risks and technical debt
  • Break down requirements and provide effort estimates
  • Mentor and guide junior/mid-level developers
  • Coordinate with internal and external technical teams
  • Support overall system ownership and production issue resolution
