Role Description The System Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for maintaining and monitoring servers, workstations, and core infrastructure to ensure stable and secure operations. The System Administrator will manage user accounts, permissions, backups, and software deployments, as well as perform routine system updates and patching. Daily tasks include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing timely technical support to staff and educators, and coordinating with vendors when necessary. The role also involves managing network resources, implementing security best practices, and documenting configurations and procedures to support reliable and scalable IT services for the education center.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in System Administration and Information Technology to manage servers, workstations, and core infrastructure.
  • Strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support capabilities to resolve hardware, software, and user issues efficiently.
  • Experience with Network Administration to maintain LAN/WAN environments, network devices, and connectivity.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), backup solutions, and basic cybersecurity practices.
  • Ability to document procedures, follow structured processes, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced educational environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with teaching staff, administration, and external vendors.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in an education or training environment is an advantage.
