Job Description
- Report on news and developments in Singapore, producing multimedia content ranging from breaking news and daily coverage to in-depth features and analysis.
- Identify and pursue news leads and tips by cultivating a wide network of sources and contacts.
- Deliver original, value-added and impactful journalism, including long-form features, exclusives and interviews.
- A Degree in Mass Communication, Arts and Social Sciences or related areas.
- Be a motivated self-starter.
- At least 3 years of journalism experience, preferably for an online news platform
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A proven track record of delivering articles which showcase strong journalism skills, such as exclusives, in-depth analyses or brilliantly written features.
- An outstanding grasp of current issues and news both locally and globally.
- An extensive network of contacts, with a focus on sports and community preferred.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
- Be prepared to work irregular hours and weekends.
