Senior Executive, Production Planning & Control (PPC)




About the Opportunity

Our client is an established manufacturing company specializing in precision metal fabrication and industrial components. They are seeking a hands-on Senior Executive, Production Planning & Control (PPC) to support production scheduling, material planning, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
This role is ideal for an experienced production planner who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and enjoys solving planning, capacity, and material challenges.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
• Monitor and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure smooth operations
• Manage capacity planning and production loading across multiple manufacturing processes
• Monitor inventory levels and material availability to prevent shortages and minimize excess stock
• Investigate and resolve scheduling disruptions, capacity constraints, and material issues
• Analyze planning data and generate reports using ERP/MRP systems and Excel
• Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence projects
• Develop and maintain PPC procedures and SOPs
  
  

Requirements



Must-Have

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of dedicated Production Planning / PPC experience
• Strong experience in production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory control
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Welding & Assembly Operations
• Sheet Metal Manufacturing
• Heavy Manufacturing / Job-Shop Environment

Candidates with exposure to machine constraints, tooling changes, and multi-stage production routing will be highly regarded.
