Job Description

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support our QS and Project team in commercial renovation and interior fit-out projects.

This position is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1–2 years of experience who would like to develop their career in Quantity Surveying and gain practical exposure to the full project cycle.

Job Scope / Responsibilities

• Assist in quantity take-off from drawings and specifications.
• Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates and quotations.
• Assist in tender preparation and submission.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare quotation comparisons and cost comparisons.
• Assist in preparing Purchase Orders (PO) and subcontractor documentation.
• Assist in preparing and tracking Variation Orders (VO).
• Assist in preparing progress claims and supporting documents.
• Check supplier and subcontractor claims against completed works.
• Carry out site measurements and verify quantities when required.
• Update project costing and maintain proper cost records.
• Maintain proper documentation for quotations, POs, VOs, claims and project costs.
• Coordinate with the QS, Project, Procurement and Site teams.
• Attend site visits and meetings when required.
• Perform other QS-related duties assigned by the QS Manager / Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience are also welcome.
• Basic knowledge of quantity take-off, BQ, costing and construction drawings.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate documentation.
• Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Able to communicate and work well with different project teams.
• Interest in commercial renovation and interior fit-out projects.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
