Job Summary:
The Product Quality Development Engineer is responsible for enhancing product quality, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and supporting all aspects of product development. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in collaborating with project teams, leading technical quality analyses, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical studies, feasibility analysis, and cost estimation based on product design, customer specifications, and performance requirements.
- Support tooling design, equipment development, and process improvement in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct design reviews and manufacturability analysis using CAD, CAM, and CAE tools.
- Participate in APQP activities, including DFMEA, PFMEA, FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation as required.
- Develop, update, and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, and project documentation in coordination with PMO and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and present project status reports, tracking schedule, cost, risks, KPIs, and trends; recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Coordinate project activities, meetings, and action items to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance activities.
- Apply continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques to improve product and process performance.
- Lead quality development programs, collect and monitor quality data, and drive discussions for product quality improvements throughout development and ISC stages.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering or project experience; fresh graduates with CGPA ≥ 3.0 are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in 7 QC Tools, product development, and quality management systems.
- Experience or exposure to APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, ISO, IATF, PPAP is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
