Role Description The Chargeman role is a full-time, on-site position based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Chargeman is responsible for overseeing daily operations involving equipment and facilities, including monitoring performance, coordinating routine inspections, and ensuring safe work practices. This role includes supervising team members, assigning tasks, and providing guidance to maintain productivity and safety standards. The Chargeman supports maintenance and repair work, liaises with other departments to resolve operational issues, and keeps accurate records of activities, incidents, and equipment status. The position requires consistent on-site presence to respond promptly to emerging issues and to maintain smooth, efficient operations.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills to lead teams, allocate work, and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Candidates should possess experience working with heavy equipment, including safe operation, basic troubleshooting, and coordination of routine checks.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills to interact clearly with colleagues, contractors, and management, both verbally and in writing.
• Candidates should possess practical carpentry skills to support minor structural work, repairs, and on-site adjustments when required.
• Candidates should possess maintenance skills for facilities and equipment, including preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and follow-up on service schedules.
• Relevant technical certification or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or facilities management is beneficial.
• Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and risk assessment practices is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Greater Kuala Lumpur, adapt to changing operational needs, and maintain a high level of reliability and punctuality.
