Smartlink Engineering Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian contract manufacturer and engineering solutions provider serving the semiconductor and high-technology industries. Our capabilities include cable harness and wire assembly, control boxes and panels, electrical and mechanical module assembly, box-build assemblies and system integration.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Costing & Commercial to join our team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead product costing and quotation activities for customer RFQs, new projects and existing products.
• Prepare and review costing based on BOM, material, labour, manufacturing processes and overhead costs.
• Analyse costs, pricing and profit margins to support competitive quotations.
• Review customer RFQs, drawings, BOMs and technical requirements for accurate costing.
• Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Production and Purchasing to obtain accurate costing information.
• Monitor material and manufacturing cost changes and assess their impact on pricing and profitability.
• Prepare cost breakdowns, quotations and commercial analysis for Management and customers.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.
• Lead and guide the costing team to ensure timely and accurate completion of quotations.
• Maintain costing records and continuously improve costing processes.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in costing, quotation, commercial or manufacturing functions.
• Strong knowledge of product costing, BOM, material costing and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics or contract manufacturing is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Candidates with team leadership experience are preferred.

Pay: RM5,200.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
