We are looking for a structured, analytical and commercially aware Risk Manager to identify, assess and manage risks across the business.

This role will work closely with management and various departments to strengthen internal controls, improve risk awareness and ensure that key operational, financial and commercial risks are properly monitored and managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall risk management framework, policies and procedures.
• Identify, assess and monitor key financial, operational, commercial, compliance and business risks.
• Maintain and regularly update the company’s risk register.
• Conduct risk assessments for new projects, investments, business activities and major commercial decisions.
• Evaluate potential financial exposure, contractual risks, credit risks and operational vulnerabilities.
• Monitor customer and supplier risks, including payment exposure, credit terms, concentration risk and dependency.
• Review internal controls and recommend improvements to reduce risk and strengthen governance.
• Work closely with finance, sales, operations and management teams to identify emerging risks.
• Analyse incidents, losses, claims and control failures and recommend preventive actions.
• Develop risk mitigation plans and monitor the implementation of agreed actions.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards and management updates.
• Support management in evaluating business continuity and contingency planning.
• Review insurance coverage and highlight potential gaps where appropriate.
• Assist with compliance reviews, audits and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes in relevant regulations, market conditions and external developments that may impact the business.
• Support due diligence exercises for major customers, suppliers, investments, acquisitions or strategic partnerships.
• Promote strong risk awareness and responsible decision-making across the organisation.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum Diploma in any discipline.
• Relevant experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, finance, operations or a related function is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of business processes, controls and commercial risks.
• Comfortable reviewing financial information, contracts, processes and operational data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
• Able to assess risk objectively and provide practical recommendations.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong organisational and reporting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other business reporting tools.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks, internal controls or audit processes will be an advantage.
