Requirements

  • Candidate must be currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles, process control, material science or industrial processes.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Willing to learn and work in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates with knowledge of data analysis, process improvement, or statistical tools will have an added advantage.

 

Internship Duration

Minimum 3–6 months, subject to university requirements and department availability.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Chemical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team and gain hands-on exposure to semiconductor manufacturing processes. The intern will support engineering and production activities involving process improvement, chemical-related processes, data analysis, quality monitoring, and troubleshooting.

This internship provides an opportunity to understand how chemical engineering principles are applied in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in monitoring and improving semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Support process engineers in troubleshooting process-related issues and identifying potential improvement opportunities.
  • Collect, analyse and maintain production/process data for engineering evaluation.
  • Assist with process parameter monitoring and documentation.
  • Support chemical-related processes, including chemical usage, handling, storage and process control, where applicable.
  • Assist in monitoring process performance, yield and quality trends.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and technical documentation.
  • Assist in conducting experiments, process trials and data validation under engineers' supervision.
  • Support compliance with company safety, environmental and operational procedures.
  • Perform other engineering-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
