Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise and monitor daily site activities related to slope stabilization, soil nailing, rock bolting, retaining structures, and earthworks
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Provide technical guidance to site supervisors, workers, and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and meets quality requirements
2. Technical Coordination
- Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies or technical issues
- Prepare and manage:
- Request for Information (RFI)
- Method Statements
- Shop drawings and material submissions
- Liaise with consultants and project team for approvals and technical clarifications
3. Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate and witness site testing such as:
- Soil compaction tests
- Concrete cube tests
- Pull-out tests (soil nails / anchors)
- Maintain proper inspection records and documentation
4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track daily site progress and report to Project Engineer / Project Manager
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Identify delays and propose corrective actions
5. Quantity & Documentation
- Assist in site measurement and verification of work done
- Support preparation of progress claims and Variation Orders (VO)
- Maintain accurate records of site activities and documentation
6. Health, Safety & Compliance (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and procedures
- Work closely with Safety Officer to implement HSE requirements
- Ensure compliance with authorities such as Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia
7. Subcontractor Coordination
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site
- Monitor quality, progress, and adherence to specifications
- Resolve site issues and escalate when necessary
8. Geotechnical Works Execution
- Assist in implementation of geotechnical solutions including:
- Slope protection and stabilization systems
- Soil nailing / rock anchoring systems
- Retaining structures and ground improvement works
- Drainage and erosion control systems
- Ensure works comply with geotechnical design and engineering requirements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 1–5 years of experience in construction (experience in slope/geotechnical works preferred)
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (Graduate Engineer is an advantage)
- Familiar with:
- Construction drawings & specifications
- RFI process and technical submissions
- Method statements
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools
- Willing to work on-site and travel as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
