About the Role
Are you a certified electrical specialist looking for your next career move? We are seeking a skilled and proactive Chargeman to oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot our facility's electrical installations and machinery.
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring uninterrupted operations, electrical safety, and compliance under the Electricity Supply Act. If you have strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities
- Breakdown & Incident Response: Swiftly attend to machine breakdowns and facility electrical issues, ensuring all incidents are resolved within required timelines.
- Condition Monitoring & Prevention: Carry out condition-based monitoring and preventive maintenance to detect electrical issues early, reporting findings to your superior.
- Maintenance Operations: Arrange, supervise, and coordinate day-to-day electrical maintenance and servicing to ensure smooth execution.
- Engineering Support: Assist the Visiting Engineer and supervisors by providing electrical solutions, reporting daily operations, and collaborating on problem-solving.
- Projects & Commissioning: Support new projects, equipment commissioning, and machine troubleshooting as needed.
- Shutdown Procedures: Assist and formalize work shutdown procedures, including managing work after hours and on rest days when required.
- M&E Compliance: Coordinate with the Visiting Engineer to normalize procedures for mechanical and electrical facilities, ensuring full compliance with the Electricity Supply Act (specifically for Low Voltage systems).
What We Are Looking For
- Valid Chargeman (Low Voltage) certification.
- Solid hands-on experience in facility electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and machinery upkeep.
- Familiarity with local electrical regulations and the Electricity Supply Act.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to handle urgent breakdowns and off-hour response duties.
- Good communication and supervisory skills to coordinate with vendors, visiting engineers, and management.
Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
