As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Taekwondo/Karate Instructor to provide specialised martial arts, physical conditioning and defensive skills training for our security and protection personnel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and conducting practical training programmes to enhance the physical fitness, discipline, situational awareness and defensive capabilities of our security and protection personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular Taekwondo / Karate and self-defence training for security and protection personnel.

• Develop practical training programmes suited to security and protection duties.

• Train personnel in defensive techniques, physical conditioning, movement, positioning and controlled restraint techniques.

• Conduct drills and scenario-based exercises relevant to security and protection duties.

• Assess trainees' physical fitness, techniques, discipline and overall training progress.

• Provide guidance on appropriate and proportionate responses to potential physical threats.

• Promote discipline, teamwork, confidence and professionalism among security personnel.

• Maintain proper training records and provide periodic reports on trainees' progress.

• Ensure all training is conducted in a safe, controlled and professional manner.

• Keep abreast of relevant martial arts, defensive training and security protection practices.

• Work closely with the Security/Corporate Protection team to ensure the training programme supports the organisation’s security requirements.

• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, discipline and confidentiality when working within a corporate environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Recognised qualification or certification in Taekwondo, Karate or a relevant martial arts discipline.

• Candidates with recognised Dan/Black Belt certification, instructor qualifications or accreditation from a reputable Taekwondo, Karate or martial arts organisation are encouraged to apply.

• Minimum [5] years' relevant experience as a martial arts instructor, trainer, security trainer or similar role.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting training for security personnel, law enforcement or other protection personnel will be an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of martial arts techniques, defensive skills and physical conditioning.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train personnel of different fitness and experience levels.

• Physically fit, disciplined and able to work professionally within a corporate environment.

• Strong emphasis on safety, discipline and responsible use of defensive techniques.
