Head of Finance - Singapore (Logistics/Freight Forwarding)

Our client is an established international organisation seeking a Head of Finance to oversee its Singapore operations. This position combines financial controllership, commercial partnership and team leadership, working closely with senior management to support business performance and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full finance function, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, credit control, billing and cash-flow management.
• Ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal controls.
• Partner with senior leadership on business planning, performance analysis, investment decisions and corrective actions.
• Monitor financial and operational results, identifying risks, variances and opportunities to improve profitability.
• Strengthen processes, controls and reporting systems while supporting regional finance initiatives.
• Lead, develop and retain the local finance team, creating a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, legal advisers and regional finance teams.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline; professional accounting qualifications are advantageous.
• At least 10-12 years of progressive finance experience, including significant leadership responsibility within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, controls and cash-flow management.
• Experience within logistics, transportation or another operationally complex business would be beneficial.
• Commercially minded, analytical and confident partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Proven people-management skills and a track record of improving finance processes.
• Open to occasional regional travel.
