Assistant Manager, Investment & Group Strategy
Lagenda Properties Berhad is a real estate developer listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, focusing on providing affordable homes and integrated townships to the underserved communities in Malaysia.
We have successfully launched numerous affordable residential projects and integrated townships starting in Sitiawan, Perak, and has since expanded into five additional states including Johor, Selangor, Kedah, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan with more developments in the pipeline.
This role sits where our capital gets deployed. You'll underwrite the land and corporate deals that go to our Management, support M&A and corporate exercises end to end.
What you'll actually do
- Support all phases of M&A and corporate exercises — due diligence, financial modelling, valuation, structuring.
- Liaise with internal teams and external parties (consultants, legal advisors, bankers) to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Prepare and present investment papers and proposals to senior management and the Board.
- Monitor the existing investment portfolio and projects, tracking performance against projections and targets.
- Prepare investor presentations, quarterly result materials and Bursa announcements; sit in on analyst briefings and help handle investor queries.
- Track competitors, sector trends and market sentiment, and provide strategic insights to management.
- Lead, guide and review the work of analysts.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Investment, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, corporate development, M&A, equity research, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial modelling, valuation techniques (DCF, IRR, NPV), feasibility studies, and investment appraisal.
- Experience in preparing investment papers, board papers, management reports, and investor presentation materials.
- Good understanding of capital markets, financial reporting, corporate governance, and regulatory disclosure requirements.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with investors, analysts, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in presenting to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and review team deliverables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in the property development industry or a public-listed company (PLC) will be an added advantage.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Position is based at Menara Lagenda, Petaling Jaya.
