Responsibilities

The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global partnership to make palm oil sustainable. Today, the RSPO is a global, non-profit organisation with over 6,000 voluntary members across 104 countries and territories, representing every link in the supply chain: oil palm producers, palm oil processors and traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks and investors, environmental or nature conservation non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and social or developmental NGOs.

The Senior Manager, Innovation & Transformation will play a critical role in translating RSPO’s strategic ambitions into executional impact. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end strategic initiatives, enhancing member experience, embedding data-driven performance management, and accelerating organisational transformation towards a member-centric and digitally enabled future. It sits at the heart of RSPO’s transformation – bridging strategy and execution, driving accountability, and embedding a high-performance, member-first culture that will enable RSPO to scale its global impact.

The location of this role is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

Member Journey Transformation & Experience Excellence

  • Conduct comprehensive “as-is” and “to-be” member journey assessments across key touchpoints.
  • Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunity areas to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
  • Design and implement member experience (MX) improvements, including simplification and reengineering of processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed member-centric design principles into operations.

 Strategy to Execution Delivery

  • Co-develop strategic initiatives and execution roadmaps with RSPO’s global and regional teams.
  • Translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable plans, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Drive execution of key strategic projects to support market growth and membership excellence.
  • Ensure alignment across functions, geographies, and stakeholders.

Digital, Data & AI Enablement

  • Champion the use of digital tools, automation, and AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and member experience.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
  • Partner with IT and digital teams to deliver scalable tech-enabled solutions.

Data-Driven Performance Management

  • Develop and implement analytics frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs to track strategic progress.
  • Establish operating cadence mechanisms (e.g., monthly business reviews, performance dashboards).
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership using data analytics and performance trends.
  • Foster a culture of evidence-based decision making across the organisation.

Change Management & Culture Transformation

  • Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Promote a data-driven and member-centric mindset across RSPO.
  • Design and execute communication and engagement strategies to support transformation.
  • Act as a catalyst for organisational agility and continuous improvement.

Project Governance & Performance Tracking

  • Establish robust project management frameworks and governance structures.
  • Track and report on initiative progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Proactively identify roadblocks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects aligned with RSPO’s strategic goals.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Economics, Engineering, or related field

Experience

  • 10 – 15 years of experience in strategy, transformation, consulting, change management, with at least 5 years project leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in driving cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Experience in customer/member experience transformation is highly desirable.

Technical and Professional Knowledge

  • Strong exposure to data analytics, dashboards, and performance management systems.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation, automation, and AI applications.
