Job Description

Responsibilities

We Offer

Based in MSC’s Singapore Regional Office, the Operations Team is responsible for overall Network, Capacity, Berthing and Vessels. In this position, the incumbent will have opportunities to display their abilities, acquire skills and knowledge in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize vessel utilization across the network while minimizing operational costs.
• Monitor vessel slot utilization against allocated capacity.
• Ensure accuracy of agents’ booking forecasts and final loadings in iSpace.
• Monitor allocation and diversion instructions and follow up with agents on system updates.
• Support Network Operations and Line Managers in simulating vessel connections during contingencies or service omissions.
• Liaise with agency offices (POL) to track market trends and cargo projections.
• Prepare daily vessel utilization summaries to support cargo diversion and service optimization decisions.
• Monitor cargo connections and coordinate cargo nominations, diversions, and rollovers with major transhipment ports.
• Upload bay plans into CAMS and update operational systems as required.

Who We Are Looking For

• Diploma or Degree holder, preferably in Maritime Studies or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the container shipping industry.
• Able to work independently and perform well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Willing to work extended hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of CASP is an advantage.
• Team‑oriented with a collaborative mindset.
• Proficiency in additional languages is an added advantage.
