As a Data Migration Expert (SAP FI/CO), you will support entities through their transition from legacy to target systems, applying the defined data migration methodology, working closely with local teams to implement data quality action plans, and resolving migration challenges within the Finance and Controlling domain.
Key Responsibilities (Common to Both FI & CO)
- Support local teams in coordinating data cleansing activities per the defined methodology
- Lead onboarding workshops to transition local teams into migration ownership — including defining approach specificities and data mapping
- Validate data migration deliverables for the assigned scope
- Ensure timely delivery of all migration tasks, proactively identifying risks and managing cross-object dependencies
- Serve as first-line support for migration defects and data quality issues
- Provide application owners with inputs on data propagation and downstream impacts
- Lead post-migration REX (Return of Experience) definition for the assigned entity and scope
Common Skills & Experience Required
- Solid system knowledge of SAP and EBX
- Strong understanding of data quality and data flows: ETL, reconciliation, and validation
- Ability to engage local stakeholders, understand their context, and propose appropriate migration approaches aligned to methodology
- Transversal management skills — ability to align both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to manage cross-object dependencies in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- End-to-end understanding of data quality impacts on migration and downstream business processes
- Pragmatic problem-solving mindset with a strong delivery orientation
