Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant). Membership of MIA (Malaysia Institute Accountancy) is required.
  • 10 years’ experience in financial reporting, preferable in a Malaysian public listed company or multinational corporation operating in Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SQL), Microsoft Excel & financial reporting tools.
  • Have understanding of accounting principles & standards, including IFRS & MFRS.
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements related to financial reporting, such as PLC regulations & tax laws.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills to interpret financial data & identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Detail in ensure accuracy in financial reporting & compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Good & excellent in written & verbal communication skills to effectively communicate financial information & analysis to various stakeholder.
  • Able to work in a team & collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams & external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Flexibility to adapt changing in business requirements & priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: prepare group consolidation financial statement & group quarterly financial report for Bursa Announcement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements & reporting obligations (e.g. Bursa Requirement, PLC filings & tax reporting).
  • Audit report: Coordinate with internal & external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation & explanation.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, budgeting & forecasting.
  • Internal Controls: Assess and strengthen internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency & accuracy.
  • Technical Accounting: Research & interpret accounting standards & regulations to address complex accounting issues & transactions.
  • Communication:Effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders, including management, investors & regulatory authorities.
