Job Description
- Carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of specialised cooling and climate‑control equipment at customer sites.
- Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, system testing, and performance validation to ensure operational reliability.
- Diagnose faults involving HVAC systems, electrical components, controls, and network‑linked equipment.
- Prepare service reports, commissioning documentation, spare‑parts requisitions, and recommendations for system improvements.
- Provide on‑site training and guidance to customers and colleagues on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of systems within customer infrastructure.
- Maintain service tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition.
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, additional services, and value‑added solutions during customer interactions.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Service Engineer Should Have
- Holds a NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Has experience in HVAC servicing, commissioning, or technical support.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and control logic.
- Able to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Confident communicator who can interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Self-driven, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Possesses a valid driver's licence and is willing to travel to customer sites when required.
