Objective of Position

 To implement, practice and participate in delivery of safe and high quality of Patient Care in the clinic.

 Responsibilities

1. Participate and ensure all patients are given safe and high-quality patient care.

2. Assist the doctor in the clinic during examination of patients and to coordinate and to carry to doctor’s instructions.

3. Perform visual acuity and eye dressing.

4. Practice high standard of aseptic technique, observe and implement Infection Prevention and Control guidelines.

5. Keep up to date record on all infection cases seen in the clinic.

6. Ensure that all medical equipment is in good working conditions and to report to the superior if they are faulty.

7. Ensure that the clinic working surfaces are clean and disinfected before clinic start and disinfected after patient with infections condition like conjunctivitis.

8. To be able to identify priority cases and inform the clinic doctor.

9. Assist in the imaging to perform imaging test when the need arises.

10. Ensure that all consumables and eye drops used in the clinic are available and stocks are within the expiry date.

11. To record date of opening on all eye drops bottles used in the clinic and to ensure it is only used for 1 month from date of opening.

12. Maintained up to date and accurate inventory on all clinic equipment and instrument.

13. Assist in the training and supervision of all junior staff.

14. To report to the superior on all incidents/accidents that happened to patient and staff in the clinic.

15. To attend and participate in all training and in service educational program for professional development.

16. To carry out any other duties as directed by the Management.
