Responsibilities:
- Develop and review risk management frameworks, policies, and processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk-related training sessions to foster a culture of risk awareness across the organization.
- Collaborate with business units to assess the effectiveness of Risk Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) and provide necessary guidance.
- Perform independent reviews and sample testing of key controls.
- Monitor and report on the status of remediation action plans generated from Operational Risk Events, RCSA, and other risk-related reviews to Management and Board Risk Committees.
- Define, update, and oversee Risk Thresholds and Key Risk Indicators, including preparation of risk dashboards for reporting to Management and the Board.
- Execute risk assessments and verification initiatives, engaging stakeholders to recommend control improvements.
- Provide support to the Crisis Management, Business Continuity Management, and IT Risk teams on various projects or ad-hoc tasks.
- Assist risk committees and governance structures in overseeing and monitoring risk-related activities throughout the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Professional qualifications in IT or Risk Management (such as CIA, CRMA, CERM, CPRM, CISA, CRISC, or ITIL) are advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a second line risk function, preferably within a regulated financial environment.
- Strong understanding of Risk Management concepts, particularly Technology Risk Management.
- Familiarity with the Three Lines of Defence model.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- A motivated team player with a strong desire to learn and achieve success.
