Primary Duties:- Incentives & Grants Application and Maintenance
- Compliance for Direct Tax & Indirect Tax
- Perform any other additional responsibilities as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:Compliance for Direct Tax & Indirect Tax:
- Tax Filings and Audits:Manage compliance tax filings and tax audit/investigation matters.
- Prepare and/or review annual tax returns and ensure compliance with necessary deadlines.
Strategic Tax Planning:
- Assist in strategic tax planning based on financial analysis of the Group's businesses.
- Provide tax advice on new business setups or arrangements.
- Minimize tax risk exposure.
Tax Advisory and Incentives:
- Provide tax advisory on the Group's various business segments.
- Advise on the application of tax incentives, grants, and licenses.
- Maximize the optimum use of incentives.
Reporting and Controls:
- Prepare tax and risk management reports.
- Conduct control assessments on the Group's policies.
- Ensure effective internal controls for financial and tax reporting.
Tax Audits and Responses:
- Assist with tax audits.
- Respond to various tax notices from tax authorities.
Research and Collaboration:
- Conduct research on various tax matters.
- Work closely with government agencies, such as the Inland Revenue Board and Ministry of Finance.
Ad-Hoc Projects:
Incentives & Grants Application & Maintenance:
- Apply for and maintain any new or existing licenses or government recognitions that would enhance the value of the Group's businesses.
- Explore and lobby for incentives, grants, and subsidies for business functions within the Group.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree or Professional Certificate in Accounting
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in related field
- Good knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and relevant laws
- Proven track record in managing tax filings, audits, and strategic tax planning.
- Good knowledge of tax software and MS Office
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
