Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant / Senior Accounts Executive to independently manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, from daily bookkeeping to financial reporting. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliation, and fixed asset management.
• Support e-commerce finance operations, including online sales reconciliation and payment gateway settlement processes.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
• Manage taxation matters including SST submissions, corporate tax filings, and correspondence with LHDN.
• Liaise with external tax agents to ensure timely tax computation, submission, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure smooth and timely audit completion.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including the Companies Act 2016, EPF, SOCSO, and related regulations.
• Monitor company cash flow and prepare financial forecasts to support operational and business planning.
• Assist management by preparing financial analysis, reports, and variance explanations.
• Recommend and support improvements in accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform additional duties and ad-hoc assignments as required by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or MICPA will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
• Candidates with prior experience in audit/tax firms or the e-commerce industry are preferred.
• Strong understanding of MFRS, Malaysian tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Familiar with accounting systems and financial software.
• Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
