Responsibilities

Summary

The Senior Analyst, Finance, I+E (Malaysia) provides high quality advice and support to key business stakeholders in relation to Finance in Malaysia.

This position supports the business in relation to project governance, joint ventures, alliances, financial auditing and performance reporting. The incumbent will role model the SJ Group values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides effective and timely financial management and financial reporting of projects.
  • Contributes to all facets of commercial performance of the business units.
  • Performs the role of Business Partner for the I+E business within Location
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitates, monitors and adheres to SJ Group policies, procedures, systems and controls for all financial processes.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications in Business Management (e.g. MBA) are highly regarded.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience and must have the experience in Engineering Consulting Industry.
  • Succeed in a similar role within a corporate environment.
  • Understanding of business and management principles, particularly in cost control.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Establish strong business relationships within a group environment and beyond to ensure efficient delivery of output
  • To produce quality outcomes within an environment with competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Growing knowledge of organization’s accounting procedures related to work performed.
  • Skilled use of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures; · Strong administration and procedural skills.
  • The ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision when required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft applications; · Intermediate skills in financial applications
  • Location: Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur
